Hiii! I’m Jessie!
I grew up in Houston, Texas, as a passionate, tenacious, and outspoken child with ADHD who often felt misunderstood and didn’t always fit the expectations around me. Those experiences shaped my family’s daily life and ultimately inspired me to build a career focused on supporting, validating, and celebrating the unique needs of kids and teens. I earned my degree in Psychology at the University of Arkansas and then returned to Texas to complete my master’s in Counseling at St. Edward’s University in Austin. My internship working with adolescents in crisis equipped me with the skills and commitment I bring to my work today. Outside of my career, I find joy in creativity and self-expression—whether it’s uncovering unique vintage finds, styling my space, crafting, or diving into lively conversations about my favorite shows and interests.
Every child deserves to feel brave, capable, and valued for who they are. My work is all about embracing each child’s individuality and creating a safe space where they can explore their emotions and experiences without judgment. I take a neurodiversity-affirming approach, helping kids and teens see their differences not as obstacles but as beautiful and essential parts of who they are. Play and creative exploration aren’t just activities—they’re powerful tools that help kids process emotions and make sense of their world in ways words sometimes can’t. Through play, creativity, and connection, I guide children toward understanding and regulating their big emotions in a way that feels empowering. For older children and teens, I balance creative and expressive approaches with more directive techniques, helping them develop self-compassion and confidence. At the heart of my work is a commitment to helping kids embrace their unique strengths and believe in their ability to grow, adapt, overcome challenges, and thrive.
You want so badly to feel confident that your child will find their way through the struggles, that they will flourish and thrive. Maybe you feel worried or have no idea where to start, but just know that your child may need some extra support. Watching your child navigate through a storm of intense emotions can be challenging, as it seems they are facing battles that aren't always visible or easy to understand. You want your child to know they are cherished, resilient, and capable of handling their big feelings.
Together, your kiddo and I can uncover all the beauty and strengths in their uniqueness and celebrate the small victories, figuring this out one step at a time. My goal is to empower your child, helping them to process and work through the hard things, all through a relational and warm approach. Through my personal journey and work experience, I deeply believe that a child's path to healing can be paved by a genuine and dependable relationship that holds the space where they feel truly heard, seen, and valued.
